The Dallas Mavericks partnered with artist Crystal Lin on the 2026 Lunar New Year Heritage Capsule, a thoughtfully curated collection celebrating the spirit, culture, and aesthetic of Asian heritage through custom-designed apparel. The inspiration behind this design is inclusive of traditional aspects of Asian culture through a modern streetwear aesthetic. The goal was to create authentic, unique, one-of-a-kind apparel pieces outside of the Mavericks primary brand story, yet with cultural specificity and broad appeal through the lens of Lunar New Year. Each piece was meticulously designed to tell a consistent story across different silhouettes using various techniques.
